By nature and nurture the Loire Valley is an aristocratic place. Even the wines manifest this inherent balance of structure and precision and grace. With more than 300 castles and/or châteaux, plus gardens, vineyards and broad expanses of cropland, flank the Loire River. It is because of this exquisitely pastoral yet cultured landscape that the region is known as “Le Jardin de la France”, France’s Garden. Not only a perfect destination for soft adventure, it is also the home of some of the most enjoyable wines.

  • Day 1 | Paris - Loire Valley

    Upon arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, be met and transferred 2 hours 45 minutes to Loire Valley.

    Check in at Grand Hôtel du Lion d’Or and have a leisure afternoon.

  • Day 2 | Loire Valley

    After breakfast, meet your specialist and transfer to one of the more famous appellations - Sancerre, and enjoy a visit to a fine estate in the village of Chavignol. We will also visit one of the biodynamic producers.

    Return to the hotel in the evening.

     

  • Day 3 | Loire Valley

    Today, you will visit Bourgueil, where you will taste a variety of full-bodied, long-ageing Bourgueil wines made with cabernet franc by a quality producer. Then we will visit one winery in Chinon.

    After lunch, we will transfer to Angers and check in at Les Hauts de Loire. Enroute, we will visit a winery at Saumur-Champigny.

     

  • Day 4 | Loire Valley

    After breakfast, our specialist will bring you to Savennières, which is known for wines with distinctive minerality and long ageing capacity.

    In the afternoon, visit Anjou and Anjou village to discover the fine red, white and rosé wines in these appellations. 

  • Day 5 | Loire Valley - Paris

    Have a leisurely morning after breakfast, and transfer 3 hours to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
