The concept is inspired by the "French Paradox", discovered over 20 years ago. It refers to a study proving that the French diet and lifestyle, particularly in Southwest France, is conducive to good health.

Each of the 40 rooms and 21 suits named after aspects of the regional heritage and mythic, boasts a unique decor, featuring antiques, collectible furniture, and fine draperies. Most of them have a terrace or a balcony with a beautiful view on the Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte's vineyards or on the lake. Enjoy a surprising voyage of discover through the heart of Aquitaine. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom with tub and shower, individual climate control, cable TV, wireless internet access, mini bar, safe and hairdryer and some are accessible by the disabled and people with reduced mobility.

The superb decor of Château Le Thil, a new charming mansion, a historic country house built in 1737 and set just a mile from Les Sources de Caudalie, is the epitome of refinement and authenticity. The design of the nine rooms and the two suites retain the "buco-chic" touch of the owner's signature interior design. The Caudalie's Vinotherapie® Spa offers exclusive treatments in an incredible natural setting. The refined atmosphere of the treatment rooms, the blend of noble materials uniting wood and stone, and the size of the building, reminiscent of an old tobacco kiln; all were designed to harmonize perfectly with the great landscape of the vineyards and give the relaxation lounges. Unique treatments combine the virtues of natural hot spring water drawn from 540 meters beneath the earth, rich in minerals and oligo elements, with the most recent scientific discoveries of the benefits of the grape and the grapevine.

4 restaurants and wine bars, La Grand'Vigne, La Table du Lavoir,  the wine bar ROUGE and French Paradox Bar where over 1,200 precious bottles are stored. Set in a former orangery, modelled on an ornamental, 18th-century glasshouse, La Grand'Vigne Michelin is a two-star restaurant. Chef Nicolas Masse has developed close relationships with local fishermen, livestock breeders, and market gardeners on the Atlantic coast and in the Graves countryside, who supply him with seasonal produce.
