LOCATION

Located in the heart of the famous Marlborough wine region, this grand country estate is nestled within 16 acres of secluded parklands. The Lodge is 10 minutes drive from Blenheim and 20 minutes from the interisland ferry terminal at Picton. Marlborough Airport, just outside of Blenheim, is well connected with direct flights to Auckland, Hawke's Bay / Napier, Wellington and Christchurch. The Coastal Pacific train also passes through Blenheim on the route between Picton and Christchurch. The city of Nelson is a 90 minute drive away; Kaikoura 2 hours, or Christchurch 4 hours.

SUITES

Originally built in 1901 for the Sisters of Mercy, this historic Victorian Convent was originally located next to Saint Mary's Church in Blenheim. In 1994 the Convent was moved to it's present location, and converted to a Luxury Lodge. Coming under new ownership The Marlborough Lodge opened in November 2016 after an extensive refurbishment.

The Lodge offers ten contemporary suites set over the two floors of this historic lodge. Each offers a private haven with spacious private ensuite and balcony access to enjoy the scenic views. The lodge welcomes Children ten years and older.

LODGE ROOM

The two stylish Lodge Rooms are locatd on the ground floor and offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

LODGE SUITE

The modern Lodge Suites provide an elegant haven to relax and unwind. The two suites on the ground floor have verandah access. The three lodge suites on the first floor offer balcony access.

PREMIUM SUITE

The three contemporary Premium Suites are located on the first floor and are distinctively spacious and elegant with luxury in every detail.

The Marlborough Lodge's cuisine is prepared as delicately as guests are pampered. The in-house chefs specialize in showcasing Marlborough's gourmet produce. They know how the food has been produced and understand how to bring our the most subtle of flavours to ensure a mouthwatering dining experience.

16 acres of sprawling gardens, parks and vineyards, give the opportunity for a peaceful wander or join a tour of the gardens and vineyard. The Lodge Chapel, formerly St Michael's, is a charming little Victorian wooden deconsecrated chapel situated in the gardens.

The Lodge offers an outdoor heated swimming pool. The manicured grass courts of the adjacent Rapaura Tennis Club, founded in the 19th century, are also available for guest use during the summer months.
