A Thai resort with individually designed rooms is a new charitable venture by entrepreneur Mark Weingard, overlooking the Andaman Sea, the five-acre property comprises four stunning villas designed by such top talents as Brazil’s Campana brothers and Jaime Hayón of Spain. The villa is family orientated, make the most of the area's warmth and hospitality while bringing to the island some of the spectacular gastronomy and culture it lacks.

Adding to guests’ sense of well-being is the knowledge that 15 percent of the resort’s revenue goes to Weingard’s Inspirasia Foundation, which funds health and education projects in Thailand, Indonesia, and India.

LOCATION

Only a 20-minute drive from Phuket's airport, it is surrounded by lush greenery and nestled between a river and the Andaman Sea. The villas and suites face Natai beach and have full-length windows to make the most of the views.

HIGHLIGHTS

When children arrive at the Iniala Beach House they have the option of checking into their own hotel. They are given a backpack stuffed full of goodies and a book, “The Island of Iniala” that tells an interactive story that is built into their stay. Each day there are structured activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play and cooking classes and for the more adventurous, there is an option to sleep over in one of the tree houses or the cave under the watchful eye of the Iniala nannies.
